158-Red Victorian
Just found out that this home earned me a Maxis Fav on the gallery on September 30th! It's the first time this has happened! I went into the game today to see it with nearly 1100 downloads, 200 favorites and almost 50 comments (which is much much higher than all of my other houses on the gallery). I was completely shocked! All the comments were very positive, but one in German roughly translated to "The inside is stupid" which made me laugh out loud. Thanks for being honest, random German Simmer. 10/01/16.
This large Victorian home has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms! Includes four fireplaces, formal dining room, office and large yard! Built September, 2016. Base Game Only. NO CC.
As the name suggests, this house features a lot of red. You could even stretch and say the exterior is red brick as well. Red is my favorite color and Victorian is one of my favorite styles, so I wanted to combine the two.
I doubt the floor plan reflects true Victorian style...I tend to build the exterior and yard completely before I start the interior, which sometimes results in headaches for me when I see that the shape of the house isn't that great. This happened with this house, and getting a layout that seems natual actually took some time. I love the end result, though, espcially the entire first floor. I think it turned out very well, let me know what you think!
